Patrick qualified as a chartered accountant with Deloitte Haskins & Sells before joining Cazenove & Co where he spent three years in the corporate finance department. He joined Close Brothers Group in 1989, where he was a director of the private equity and corporate finance divisions. He established Close Ventures in 1996 and led the management buyout in 2009. 

Patrick has an MA in Modern Languages from Oxford University, and is on the board of the Association of Investment Companies, Albion Development VCT PLC, Albion Technology & General VCT PLC and Albion Enterprise VCT PLC.

Will is a seasoned venture capital investor, with over 20 years’ experience investing in early-stage healthcare and technology enabled businesses. He is passionate about supporting the UK’s rich ecosystem of early-stage businesses and the positive impact these venture capital backed companies will have on the way we live and work. 

Will is the Managing Partner of Albion Capital and Chair of its investment committee. He is on the board of the Association of Investment Companies (AIC), sits on the venture capital committee of the British Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (BVCA) and the advisory board of the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Entrepreneurship. Will was previously the Chair of the Venture Capital Trust Association (VCTA). 

Will qualified as a chartered accountant and holds a BA Hons in History from Southampton University.

Andrew initially practised as a surgeon for six years, specialising in neurosurgery, before joining the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) as a consultant in 2001. Whilst at BCG he specialised in healthcare strategy, gaining experience with many large, global clients across the full spectrum of healthcare including biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, service and care providers, software and telecommunications. Andrew now focuses on medical technologies, digital health and technology-enabled services to the life-science sector, and has served on the boards of companies ranging from diagnostics, imaging and software to pharmaceuticals and biomarkers. He joined Albion Capital in 2005 and became a partner in 2009. He has an MA plus Bachelors of Medicine and Surgery from Cambridge University and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (England).

Vikash is the Operations Partner and oversees the finance and administration of all the funds under Albion Capital's management and is on the AIC's VCT Technical Committee. He qualified as a chartered accountant with RSM and latterly worked in its corporate finance team. He has a BA (Hons) in Accountancy & Finance from Nottingham Business School. He joined Albion in 2010 and became partner in 2017. Vikash is on Albion's Valuation Committee and its Risk Management Committee. He was previously Finance Director of Olim Limited and Albion Community Power PLC.

Adam joined Albion in 2013 and invests across a number of areas of the Albion portfolio including renewable energy, healthcare, education and digital infrastructure. Prior to joining Albion, he spent five years working in M&A at Rothschild.

Adam graduated from Nottingham University with a first class degree in industrial economics and a masters in corporate strategy and governance.

Christoph is a partner at Albion Capital, where he is focused on investing in digital health and life sciences. Christoph started his career as a radiologist, and went on to strategy consulting at Bain & Company. He entered the VC industry in 2006 focusing on healthcare with 3i Group followed by corporate M&A with General Electric’s digital health division. Christoph joined AlbionVC in 2011. Christoph is passionate about working with mission-driven founders who are changing the landscape of European healthcare. Christoph holds a doctorate in medicine from Ludwig-Maximilians University, Munich and an MBA from INSEAD.

Cat joined the technology investment team in 2018 having previously worked for Goldman Sachs in both New York and London. At Goldman Sachs, Cat executed several high profile transactions across the product space including leveraged buyouts, IPOs and M&A. Prior to Goldman Sachs, Cat studied economics at Harvard University. Today Cat focuses on B2B software investing in leading fintech, data and cyber security companies.

David is an Investment Director at the UCL Technology Fund where he focuses on investing in early stage deeptech companies. He previously worked for 4 years at Spark Impact, a subsidiary of Spark Ventures, investing across medical technology, telehealth and consumer healthcare. David started his career at Detica before moving to China to work in a FMCG start-up. David holds a Masters’ degree in Natural Science (Mathematics and Chemistry).

Gita is an analyst at Albion Capital, where she amalgamates her diverse experiences to help the fund build a state-of-the-art platform to support the growth of our portfolio companies. She brings over five years of experience working in start-ups, and national and multinational corporations across healthtech, fintech and e-commerce. Prior to joining Albion, Gita helped build a Dutch re-commerce start-up, where she managed data analytics in close conjunction with finance, marketing, and technology. She has also been on both sides of the acquisition deals and has helped companies drive process improvements, implement software solutions and gain visibility over their day-to-day and month-to-month performance.

Gita holds a BSc in Economics and Finance from the University of Amsterdam and is pursuing a Master’s in Management of Information Systems and Digital Innovation at the LSE.

Jane is a Partner and the Talent Director for Albion Capital.  She helps the fund invest in the best founders for Albion Capital by assessing their leadership potential, and works with the leadership teams to support and accelerate the rapid organisational scaling of our companies. The talent platform at Albion Capital enables us to build and share talent thought leadership with our early-stage community.

Jane Reddin joined us in late 2020 as the first Talent Director at AlbionVC her focus was to align growth strategy with leadership team hiring,  leadership development, and organisational scaling. Jane’s impact has been transformational, which is why she has been promoted to Partner.

In her 25 year career, Jane has transacted >500 senior hires, globally, for disruptive companies, built international and new-market teams inside a start-up, hired a fund team and, as an advisor, helped over 70 start-ups build high performing teams.

Jay joined from Bain & Company, where he had been a consultant since 2016 advising private equity and sovereign wealth funds on acquisitions of European technology, financial and business services companies. Prior to this he graduated from London Business School with an MBA having spent eight years in Financial Services.

Jay focusses on all aspects of technology, particularly in how it is redefining Financial Services. From retail to institutional finance, and at every level of the IT stack - blockchain, AI/ML, predictive analytics, robotics and cloud.

Lauren is responsible for driving the growth and engagement of our portfolio teams with our platform services; this includes founder support, curation of our founder-focussed programmes, as well as building and systematizing the Albion networks and ecosystem connections.  In this role, Lauren focuses on continuously expanding the value of AlbionVC networks to increase the success of our companies.

Previously, as Platform Lead for workspace accelerator, Huckletree, Lauren curated and managed the support network of ambassadors and investors to help connect founders across the workspaces to key individuals in the ecosystem.  She managed relevant programming and connection opportunities for the start ups and ran an in-house accelerator for underrepresented founders who were looking to raise their Seed round. Prior to that, she managed Fintech partnerships at Thomson Reuters (Refinitiv, now part of LSEG).

Leigh joins the UCL Technology fund after ten years of experience in the life sciences.

Having started as a bench scientist at the Broad Institute, she went on to do a PhD in Biomedical Sciences, which led her into industry after a technology she developed was the basis for a spin-out company.

She later went on to help build the commercial technologies of a CRISPR gene editing company eventually becoming the CSO and became an integral part of the company’s acquisition. More recently, she was Executive Director of Platform Strategy at Quell Therapeutics.

Leigh has a BSc in Biochemistry from Simmons University and a PhD from Imperial College London.

Molly joined AlbionVC from McKinsey & Company where she focused on healthcare systems, services and technologies.

Prior to McKinsey, Molly was Chief Commercial Officer of Induction Healthcare Group which completed an IPO on AIM in 2019 and provided digital tools for healthcare professionals and patients to deliver care more efficiently and effectively. Before Induction, Molly was a founding team member of Pando, a messaging and workflow tool for doctors, and an NHS Clinical Entrepreneur as a medical doctor.

As part of the AlbionVC investment team, Molly will focus on health technology investing with a focus on digital tools and technologies that can drive better outcomes for patients through more efficient delivery of care and better clinical research.

Nadine joined the tech Investment team in 2018 from Berytech Fund , one of the first VC funds in the Middle East. She has 6 years to date of investing experience from Seed to Series A in start-ups across AI/ML technologies, digital health, digital platforms and marketplaces and hardware. Nadine has a B.Eng in electrical and computer engineering from The American University of Beirut followed by a specialisation in Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship from Brown University, where she focused on commercialisation of disruptive technologies. Nadine focuses on all aspects of technology and particularly enjoys Deep Tech and AI.

Robert has been in venture since 2005 when he joined Albion. He became a partner in 2009. Robert has led over 20 investments in deep tech, enterprise software, fintech and insurtech with recent exits including Atego (PTC), Grapeshot (Oracle), PSE (Siemans). He currently represents Albion on the boards of a number of scale-ups - collectively valued at over £250m. Robert also works on a selected group of seed stage companies as a board adviser. Prior to venture, Robert spent time in corporate finance with Credit Suisse First Boston, ING Baring and KPMG. Robert holds a BA in History and is an FCA.

Tanel helps manage the UCL Technology Fund, which is investing in commercialisation of life and physical science innovations from one of the most important academic institutions in the United Kingdom. He joined Albion in 2018 having previously been an intern with the investment team in 2016. Tanel completed his PhD and postdoctoral research at UCL where his work was focused on developing synthetic biological tools for microbiome engineering. He also holds an MSc in Nanotechnology and Regenerative Medicine from UCL and a BSc in Human Biology from King’s College London.

Valerie joined the AlbionVC B2B Software team in 2022. She started her VC career at Cherry Ventures, after having been a founder and operator for 8 years in the foodtech space. Valerie exited her dark kitchen business in 2019, and stayed on for a while to streamline the operations of the joint venture  – which is where she saw the potential of tech in workflow automation and supply chain management. Being slightly obsessed with operations & processes, Val continued her operator journey as a freelance consultant & advisor to a variety of businesses.

Valerie is passionate about creating more opportunities for female entrepreneurs, and co-runs The JV Network, an investment network bringing female founders & investors together. She holds an M.Sc. In Applied Economics from the University of Antwerp, Belgium, and an M.Sc. In International Business Management & Entrepreneurship from Kingston University.

Linda initially qualified as a solicitor with Allen & Overy, working in their London Corporate Finance team, before joining the in-house legal team at 3i Group plc in 1999.  At 3i, Linda supported investment transactions and fund raisings, later moving to the Compliance team to focus on regulatory matters.  Linda joined Albion in 2016.  She holds an LLB in Law and French Law from Birmingham University.

Prior to joining Albion Katya co-founded and ran KidPix, a successful marketplace for boutique children’s brands. Here she developed her passion for marketing, technology and startups. Katya started her career in the City working across commodities, shipbroking and B2B financial sales. She holds a BA Economics and Management, University of Oxford and MA Energy, Trade and Finance from the Cass Business School.

Marco specialises in energy related investment and has in-depth knowledge and understanding of energy generation, distribution, balancing, storage as well as servicing the sector. Energy transition and the analysis of big data is where Marco is increasingly using his analytical expertise, networks and market knowledge. Marco has a first-class degree in economics from Cambridge, a PhD in construction economics from UCL and has led over 20 investments to date. Prior to joining Albion in 2007, he qualified as a Chartered Surveyor with Bouygues (UK), and advised on large capital projects with EC Harris. His other claim to fame is as Captain of London, Division 1 winning Table Tennis Team!

David was a director of Close Ventures and joined Albion in 2009. He initially worked at the BBC and ICL, specialising in commerce, before joining 3i as an investor in 1999. He joined Foursome Investments (now Frog Capital) as the lead investor of two funds, an environmental technology fund and a later stage development capital fund. David is Head of Renewables at Albion and is on the board of many of the Biogas, Hydro and Wind investments.

Daniel joined the Albion Capital finance team in 2022 as a Finance Manager from BDO LLP, where he had worked for over three years in the audit department, later specialising in the asset management and capital markets sector of the market, and qualified as a chartered accountant (ACA) in 2021.
