Albion today announces a £6.4 million investment to fund the creation of a 62 bed hospital offering long-term care to NHS patients in the Somerset area. The investment follows research from Albion that identified an area of under provision in this type of care and in particular in the South West of England.  The current site, a nursing home in Taunton, Somerset, will be refurbished and extended and then be re-classified by the Care Quality Commission as a hospital to provide ‘slow stream’ rehabilitative care for NHS patients. Albion can today announce that it has consolidated its pub portfolio to be managed by Bravewood Pub Management Company Limited. The 34 pub estate will be managed by a single high quality management team jointly led by Ken Buckley, who will oversee the pubs in the north of England, known as Bravo Inns, and Daryl Cockerill who is responsible for the balance of the pubs in the portfolio, known as The Charnwood Pub Company.
