SBD listed on Sunday Times 'SME Export Track 100' league table 2017
Published this weekend, the 3rd annual Sunday Times Lloyds SME Export Track 100 league table ranked Britain’s small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) with the fastest-growing international sales. This year’s table includes SBD in 64th place.
Headquartered in Milton Keynes with offices in North America, Japan and India, SBD are specialists in automotive technology, providing independent research, evaluation and strategic services to 95% of the world’s leading car manufacturers.
Having established a unique position in the sector, the company has recorded more than 50% annual international sales growth over two years.
SBD’s growth comes at a time when the automotive technology sector is forecast to grow significantly. Between 2016 and 2020, car manufactures are forecast to spend more than €42 billion on offering connected car services and higher levels of vehicle automation in the EU, USA and China.
SBD’s research and strategic services focus on three growth areas: vehicle connectivity, autonomous car technologies and automotive cybersecurity.
Recent investment from venture capitalists Albion has enabled SBD to further scale its operations globally, add to its world-class team of specialists, and allow the development of innovative new ways of supporting the automotive industry.
David Bell, CEO at SBD said:“We’re delighted to receive this recognition which is a testament to the hard work of our colleagues around the world. The automotive sector is undergoing significant change and SBD is at the cutting-edge. The quality of our data and our talented team puts us in pole position to continue our rapid grow with plans in 2017 to increase our footprint in China.”
Liam Fox, International Trade Secretary said: “Companies are seizing the huge international demand for innovative UK products and services. We want more businesses to take advantage of this global opportunity, which is why we’re supporting the SME Export Track 100 and why we launched our new trade hub, great.gov.uk, providing free local advice, financial and regulatory support and live export opportunities to businesses across the UK.”
